Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9, 1976, from Beaumont Puy de Domme. Since a young age, her dentist doctors parents and teacher mother supported Audrey's love of drama and theater. The passion for theater was the one that trumps her first desire to become a the first primatologist. The early success of her career and the rapid rise in fame was a sign of her development as an actor. Before she began to pursue her acting career, Tautou was a participant in Jeunes Premiers an French show on TV that focuses on talent that was sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the Best Young Actress in her performance in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her childhood, but she is now separating herself from the aforementioned societal influences. The modeling and acting careers of Tautou have been interspersed. Tautou was the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting career, she has an interest in photography. She recently exhibited some of her photographs during the Arles Film Festival with the title Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity in addition to fame. Also, it features a series self-portraits and a focus on journalists that have been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic rise in stardom following Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her first major role starring as the lead in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie achieved international success on the screen and also won numerous awards across the globe. It remains the highest grossing French language film to be released in the US. Following the film, she appeared in many films that ranged from British dramas up to Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. Then she moved into Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
